About the Show
About the Show
The 1995 landmark anime film Ghost in the Shell follows Major Motoko Kusanagi, an assault-team leader for Public Security Section 9, as she hunts a mysterious and powerful hacker known as the Puppet Master — a case that blurs the line between human and machine.
Director Mamoru Oshii based the futuristic setting of Ghost in the Shell on Hong Kong, choosing it as the perfect image of an Asian city of the future — with its countless neon-lit signs and iconic rain-soaked streets.
About the Collection
About the Collection
David Levitz’s latest collection is a vivid homage to the animated worlds that shaped his childhood. Blending digital art with photography, each artwork reinterprets iconic moments from beloved anime films and shows - reframed through the lens of pop art.
Every piece is built around the idea of these iconic shows as a mixtape: scenes are reimagined inside cassette frames, echoing the way soundtracks once captured the mood of a moment, a character, or an entire era.
Crafted over weeks of digital reconstruction and visual storytelling, the collection invites viewers to explore the intersection of music, iconic tv shows and movies, and nostalgia. Bold, layered, and emotionally charged, David's prints celebrate not just the stories we grew up with, but how they continue to evolve in our minds.
