About the Show

Voltron: Defender of the Universe debuted on September 10, 1984, and was primarily edited from Beast King GoLion (Hyakujū-ō Goraion) from Japan. When it was released, Voltron became the top-rated syndicated children's show of its era — five pilots, five robot lions, one legendary giant robot fighting against the evil King Zarkon from planet Doom.

About the Collection

David Levitz’s latest collection is a vivid homage to the animated worlds that shaped his childhood. Blending digital art with photography, each artwork reinterprets iconic moments from beloved anime films and shows - reframed through the lens of pop art.

Every piece is built around the idea of these iconic shows as a mixtape: scenes are reimagined inside cassette frames, echoing the way soundtracks once captured the mood of a moment, a character, or an entire era.

Crafted over weeks of digital reconstruction and visual storytelling, the collection invites viewers to explore the intersection of music, iconic tv shows and movies, and nostalgia. Bold, layered, and emotionally charged, David's prints celebrate not just the stories we grew up with, but how they continue to evolve in our minds.
